OIP was founded in 1919 and is actively involved in Defense, Security and Space markets from end-to-end projects to feasibility studies.
In Defense and Security, OIP Sensor Systems offers a comprehensive range of platform mounted systems, from day-night periscopic sights to fully integrated fire control systems, thermal imagers, laser rangefinders, head mounted displays, and night-vision systems.
In Space, OIP developed instruments flying on Spacelab, XMM, Cluster II, Ariane V, Mars-Express, Venus-Express, Integral, Rosetta, Envisat, Meteosat, MSG, Herschel-Planck and the Proba-missions.
